Engine and transmission

  • Strong RS performance, high efficiency: 4.0 TFSI twin-turbo V8 with 441 kW (600 PS) at an engine speed of 6,000 rpm and 800 Nm (590.0 lb-ft) of torque remains consistent within an engine speed range from 2,200 to 4,500 rpm.
  • Zero to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in just 3.8 seconds; only 13.7 seconds to 200 km/h (124.3 mph)
  • Top speed can be extended to as much as 305 km/h (189.52 mph) with the dynamic package plus
  • Mild-hybrid system (MHEV) based on the 48-volt main electrical system enables gliding with the engine switched off, fast restart and an extended stop/start range
  • Cylinder on demand (COD) system for shutting off four of the eight cylinders in low-load ranges
  • Power transmission via eight-speed tiptronic and quattro permanent all-wheel drive

Suspension

  • Front and rear axle, each designed as five-link constructions
  • Standard all-wheel steering
  • Standard adaptive air suspension sport with controlled damping and RS-specific damper tuning
  • The air suspension varies the body’s ride height by up to 90 millimeters (3.5 in).
  • Wide spread of the driving characteristics across Audi drive select with eight profiles, including off-road
  • New RS1 and RS2 modes can be customized and saved individually in MMI touch response – allowing quick access via the “RS MODE” steering wheel button
  • Option: Electromechanical roll stabilization (EAWS) minimizes lateral movements
  • Optional sport differential for active drive torque distribution between the rear wheels
  • Stable: Optional ten-piston RS ceramic brake system with large ceramic discs measuring 440 mm (17.3 in) at the front and 370 mm (14.6 in) at the rear

Interior, colors and materials

  • Interior design with clean styling, harmonious fusion of architecture and operating concept, slender instrument panel, lines with a strong horizontal orientation
  • Two large touchscreens with diagonals of 8.6 and 10.1 inches; moreover, only a few buttons and dials
  • Color highlights in the interior: RS design package available in red or gray
  • Option for even more luxury: RS sport seats in Valcona leather featuring a honeycomb pattern and RS embossing with ventilation and massage function
  • Luggage compartment with a capacity of between 605 l (21.4 cu ft) and 1,755 l (62.0 cu ft)
