Audi works driver Allan McNish became a father on Monday. His wife Kelly gave birth to their first child – a son – in Monte Carlo. Audi sportscar drivers Frank Biela and Marco Werner as well as Jean-Francois Hemroulle, who is contesting the Belgian Touring Car Series (BTCS), paid a visit to their DTM colleagues at Spa-Francorchamps. On Saturday evening, they drove journalists around the fascinating circuit in the Ardennes in their 220-hp Audi A4 DTM Edition cars.

On Saturday evening, Audi hosted a Race Party at the Villa Eau Rouge. The singing and celebrating at the hospitality location situated in what is arguably the world’s most famous racing corner did not end until very late at night. Guests in attendance included DTM boss Hans Werner Aufrecht, vocalist Indira from the band “Bro’Sis”, Simon Verhoefen, son of the popular actress Senta Berger and “Marienhof” daily soap star Phillip Weiche.

Joachim Erwin visited the DTM at Spa-Francorchamps. The Lord Mayor of the city of Düsseldorf had a “seat fitting” in Mattias Ekström’s Audi A4 DTM in order to get a feel for the perspective of a racing driver. Another guest at Audi’s team garage: TV talk show host and producer Margarete Schreinemakers, who lives near Spa.
