The “final countdown” for the opening race of the 2007 DTM on 22 April at Hockenheim starts with the official presentation on the Königsallee in Düsseldorf. Spectators in Düsseldorf can rub shoulders with the Audi DTM stars, collect autographs and see the Audi A4 DTM in live action. A concert staged by British pop group “All Saints” crowns the action packed weekend. Entry is free.

The Audi teams and the majority of the Audi drivers travelled directly from the DTM test days at Oschersleben to Düsseldorf. In addition to the photo sessions and interviews on Saturday, an autograph session with Martin Tomczyk and Vanina Ickx in the “Kö” gallery, and a visit by Christian Abt to the top football game between Rhein Fire Düsseldorf and Berlin Thunder are also on the agenda.

Sunday’s presentation on the “Kö” starts at 10 a.m. The DTM stars are introduced on the main stage at the Graf-Adolf-Platz at 1 p.m. From 1:30 p.m. the DTM drivers give autographs along the route. The DTM cars spend almost one hour lapping the Königsallee from 2:55 p.m. Christian Abt and Martin Tomczyk are in action for Audi with two A4 DTM Race Taxis, with which they will chauffeur guests up and down the “Kö”.

The ARD ‘Sportschau’ broadcasts live from Düsseldorf on Sunday evening from 6 p.m. Audi drivers Mattias Ekström and Vanina Ickx will compete against two Mercedes drivers in a pit stop duel.

The spectators along the “Kö” can also see the new Audi R8 mid-engined sportscar in action, which will be driven around the street circuit by “star of tomorrow” Mike Rockenfeller (23). Furthermore, as guests of Audi in Düsseldorf are numerous celebrities including Sylke Otto, Olympic winner in tobogganing, and actor Frank teNeues.

Le Mans record winner Tom Kristensen, whose partner Hanne is expecting to give birth at any moment, is unlikely to be seen in Düsseldorf.

Last year’s DTM presentation attracted more than 138,000 spectators to the “Kö”. The organisers also expect the public to arrive in equally large numbers this time. Advanced ticket sales for the DTM opener at Hockenheim on the 22 April are also in full swing. Tickets can be ordered by telephone at +49 (0)841 / 8947777.
