DTM Festival Hockenheim 2015
Jamie Green

Audi Sport Team Rosberg is overjoyed: The Briton Jamie Green gave Audi the 75th pole position in the internationally popular touring car series in the first qualifying session of the new DTM season at Hockenheim.

In the Hoffmann Group Audi RS 5 DTM, Green clinched the top spot on the grid for the first race on Saturday afternoon with a 0.116-second advantage over Mercedes Formula One test driver Wehrlein. With all eight RS 5 DTM cars in the top 13, Audi showed a strong performance across the board.

“My car was top in free practice this morning and again in qualifying,” said Green. “It’s great to start the season from position one. Plus, it’s the first pole position I’ve clinched on track with Audi.”

Green had last started from position one at Oschersleben in 2013 when BMW driver Bruno Spengler was retroactively stripped of his pole position.

The first race of the new DTM season starts at 14.48. ARD will start to air live coverage on ‘Das Erste’ at 14.30. Additional ‘second screen’ information will be available on dtm.com.
