Audi offers another drive alternative with the A3 Sportback g-tron*: The five-door compact model can use climate-neutrally produced Audi e-gas as fuel, in addition to fossil-based natural gas. Equipped with a 1.4 TFSI engine producing 81 kW (110 hp), the A3 Sportback g-tron sets standards for efficiency and economy.

    The success model from Audi has become even more attractive: The Audi A3 approaches the starting line with new driver assistance systems and engines as well as newly designed headlights and taillights. Also new on board is the innovative operating and display concept, the Audi virtual cockpit. The new A3 is available as a three-door version*, a Sportback*, a Sedan* and as a Cabriolet*. The sport version of the Audi S3* comes with numerous innovations and has enhanced its dynamic potential even further. With the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron* and the Audi A3 Sportback g-tron* the A3 series offers the most versatile line of drive systems in the premium compact segment. *The fuel consumption and emissions values of all models available on the German market and named in this text are listed in the last chapter of this document.

The brand with the Four Rings is now making a particularly sustainable offer: The company is to supply climate-friendly Audi e-gas to its customers as standard for three years, to power the A4 Avant g-tron, A5 Sportback g-tron and A3 Sportback g-tron models. The customer pays the standard natural gas price. With this deal, Audi is reducing the CO2 emissions of the g-tron fleet when running on gas by 80 percent**. The two new models A4 Avant g-tron and A5 Sportback g-tron are currently being exhibited at the IAA in Frankfurt.

    The Audi A3 Sportback g-tron (CNG consumption in kg/100 km: 3.6 – 3.3*; combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 5.5 – 5.1* (42.8 – 46.1 US mpg); combined CO2 emissions in g/km (CNG): 98 – 89* (157.7 – 143.2 g/mi); combined CO2 emissions in g/km (gasoline): 128 – 117* (206.0 – 188.3 g/mi)) with compressed natural gas (CNG) drive was awarded the first-ever rating of 1+ by the automotive publication Auto Bild after completing 100,000 kilometers of endurance testing. This ranking also impressively confirms the quality of the climate-friendly g-tron technology, which Audi introduced in 2013.     New Audi e-gas offer as standard: 80 percent lower CO2 emissions

    Audi is presenting a very sustainable offer: The automaker is now offering customers climate-friendly Audi e-gas to power the A3 Sportback g-tron* – the fuel offer is included as standard and customers will pay only the regular natural gas price. With this deal, Audi is reducing the CO2 emissions of the g-tron fleet when running on gas by 80 percent**. Early this summer Audi will further expand its product range with two new models – the A4 Avant g-tron* and the A5 Sportback g-tron*, and the e-gas offer as standard applies to both models.

    The Audi A3 Sportback g-tron

    Audi is taking a large step towards sustainable future mobility with the A3 Sportback g-tron. The five-door premium compact model, which will appear on the market at the end of the year, runs on both the fossil fuel natural gas and on climate-friendly Audi e-gas, which Audi itself produces at a recently completed power-to-gas plant. It innovatively combines ecological balance, economy and high-tech solutions.
