Simulator duel between René Rast and Daniel Abt

The two Audi factory drivers Daniel Abt and René Rast staged a very special type of duel before the unparalleled motorsport weekend: the Formula E driver and defending DTM Champion competed against each other in full-electric Audi e-tron FE04s – obviously only in a simulator that inspired fans in the mydays-Erlebniswerk located in the trendy Bikini center in the heart of Berlin. “A great warm-up and a lot of fun before the race day,” said Daniel Abt, who was narrowly beaten in the virtual race, which featured several hard maneuvers, around the track at Tempelhof. “I wanted to be a good sparring partner for Daniel so that he is up the front in his home race,” said a grinning Rast. The DTM driver competes at the weekend on the Lausitzring situated only 130 kilometers from Berlin. SAT.1 broadcasts on location on Saturday and Sunday from 1 PM CEST.
