Mixed feelings for EKS Audi Sport on day one in Norway

Team EKS Audi Sport experienced ups and downs in round five of the FIA World Rallycross Championship (World RX) at Hell (Norway). On day one, Mattias Ekström in his 580-hp Audi S1 EKS RX quattro set the second-best time in the second qualifying session, now ranking in fourth position overall. “The day was okay, but not fantastic,” said Ekström. “We posted good lap times, but didn’t have a lot of luck. For Sunday, we still have some work to do.” Less pleased was his teammate, Andreas Bakkerud, who in his World RX round on home soil took positions seven and eight in the first two qualifying sessions, so entering day two in seventh position overall. On Sunday, two more qualifying sessions are on the agenda. All races are broadcast live on the Facebook page of the World RX.
