Red Bull Audi RS 5 DTM #5 (Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline), Mattias Ekström
Mattias Ekström (Red Bull Audi RS 5 DTM) and Edoardo Mortara (Castrol EDGE Audi RS 5 DTM) are in the top two positions of the drivers’ standings before the DTM’s round in Russia. And day one at Moscow Raceway went positively for the two Audi drivers as well. They occupied positions two and four in the first free practice session.
“That was a perfect session for me,” said Ekström. “I left the pits and the set-up of my car immediately fit. I drove two qualifying laps that were good for second place. And the subsequent long run was top too. I’m very happy with my day. We’re already pretty well sorted but, obviously, things will only get really serious tomorrow.”
Edoardo Mortara expressed similar satisfaction: “My car feels a lot better than it did last year.”
