Steffen Bamberger - Biography
Steffen also coordinated the testing and validating of various Audi models, including the Audi R8. In 2018, he was appointed Head of Whole Vehicle Testing, a position he held for two years. In 2020, Steffen moved to Audi Sport GmbH as Head of Whole Vehicle Development. On February 1, 2021, he became Head of Technical Development at Audi Sport GmbH. Since joining Audi Sport GmbH, he has been responsible for the design and features of the latest RS models, ensuring the continuous implementation of Audi’s DNA in RS products.
Jörg Menges - Biography
After working as a project manager in Audi R8 production, from 2005 onwards Menges oversaw production planning for add-on parts, process, and structure planning for the press plant and was involved in developing the new hot forming technology at Audi. From 2009 to 2016, Menges was head of assembly for the A3 and Q2 in Ingolstadt, where he managed vehicle assembly until 2019. Menges returned to FAW-Volkswagen in Changchun in 2019 as site manager of China’s largest automotive company. Jörg Menges has been Head of Product Engineering at AUDI AG in Ingolstadt since December 1, 2022.
Helmut Stettner - Biography
At quattro GmbH, he was Head of Production, where his responsibilities included the start of production of the first generation of the Audi R8 high-performance sports car at the Audi plant in Neckarsulm. In 2011, Stettner was made Plant and Production Director at FAW/VW Automotive Co. Ltd. in Changchun, China. From January 2016 to April 2021 Helmut Stettner has been Plant Manager at the Audi plant in Neckarsulm. Stettner has been back in China since May 1, 2021, where he is Chief Executive Officer of the Audi FAW NEV Company Ltd. He is responsible for the setting-up of a new production site for fully electric Audi models in Changchun, which he will subsequently lead.
