Shortly before the FIA Rallycross World Championship in Barcelona, Mattias Ekström paid the German national team goalkeeper, Marc-André ter Stegen, a visit. The current Rallycross world champion used the time before the first race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya to visit the 24-year-old during a training session for his club FC Barcelona. The Swede already got to know ter Stegen in 2015, during a press event and maintains contact since then. Ekström was impressed by the technical skills of Lionel Messi, Neymar and the other superstars of the Spanish champions. “It’s incredible what these guys can do with the ball,” said Ekström. “Respect, that Marc-André actually goes in goal."
