Werner Neuhold

Werner Neuhold was born in Cochem (Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany) in 1965. In 1996, after completing his vocational training as a banker and his diploma degree in industrial engineering at Wuerzburg-Schweinfurt university of applied sciences, Werner Neuhold started his professional career in the Finance division of AUDI AG. He quickly assumed leadership responsibilities and, from 1999 to 2017, gained extensive international expertise at Audi Hungaria Motor KfT in Hungary as well as Audi SENNA Ltda. import in Brazil, SEAT S.A. in Spain, and Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. in Italy, the latter being an Audi entity.

In 2017, under the US monitorship for the Volkswagen Group, Werner Neuhold took over the formation and leadership of the integrity, compliance, and risk management department at Audi. At the same time, the Audi Board of Management appointed him as the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Risk Officer of AUDI AG. In close cooperation with the compliance monitor installed by US authorities, Werner Neuhold was responsible for the comprehensive implementation of monitorship-related commitments and deliverables.

After the successful completion of the monitorship in September 2020, Werner Neuhold became Chief Financial Officer at CARIAD SE, a VW entity established the same year. In March 2022, he began sharing his expertise with the start-up team of Audi Formula1 Racing GmbH.

On February 1, 2023, Werner Neuhold returned to his previous position as head of integrity, compliance, and risk management at Audi. In addition, he holds the office of Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Risk Officer of the Audi Group.
