The Audi Q6 e-tron series are the first production models on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), marking the next step in the company's transformation into a provider of premium electric mobility. At the Beijing Auto Show 2024, the brand with the four rings is presenting a tailored variant for the Chinese market - the Audi Q6L e-tron.
The electrically powered car will be shown as an exterior model at the spring motor show in the Chinese capital; the series version will then make its public debut in the fourth quarter of 2024. Like other PPE models for the Chinese market, the Audi Q6L e-tron will be locally produced in a new factory in Changchun. The first deliveries to customers will take place in 2025. The Audi Q6L e-tron is defined by impressive driving and charging performance, excellent efficiency, and an even greater range than the global model. The wheelbase, longer by 105 millimeters, also allows the installation of a larger battery. With it, CLTC ranges of more than 700 kilometers will be possible. The letter “L” in the name signals the long wheelbase, which is also becoming the hallmark of outstanding long-distance capability. Audi has been building “L” models with an extended wheelbase for the Chinese market for decades. The A6L and A4L are the best-known large-volume versions, alongside the Q5L, A8L, and A8L Horch. Now, Audi is adding the L model to the Q6 e-tron family - providing even more space, comfort, and everyday usability. Together with the new interior design philosophy, the Q6L e-tron is creating a very exclusive and generous space for passengers in the market.

As the most powerful SUV on the market, the new Urus SE is the next chapter of our success story, which also marks another significant step in our electrification plan ‘Direzione Cor Tauri’.” World premiere of the Lamborghini Urus SE The Lamborghini Urus SE adopts a re-engineered twin-turbo 4.0 V8 engine, delivering 620 CV of power and 800 Nm of torque. In optimal synergy with the electric powertrain, the system generates a total power output of 800 CV and a total torque of 950 Nm. The new centrally-located longitudinal electric torque vectoring system is also installed for the first time in the Urus SE, complementing the transfer case and the new electronic limited-slip differential to give the vehicle “on demand” oversteering to deliver Lamborghini’s iconic super sports car driving experience. Thanks to the “two hearts” combining thermal and electric power, the Urus SE boasts best-in-segment torque and power values with an 80% reduction in emissions. Combining Urus driving modes and four new Electric Performance Strategies (EPS), it offers a total of eleven options, and is capable of traveling more than 60km in EV Drive mode. The Urus SE redefines the stylistic canons of a super SUV. New design features include headlight clusters with matrix LED technology, as well as bumper and front grill. The hood adopts a floating design, in line with the design concept of the Revuelto, and the cargo compartment hatch features a Gallardo-inspired design style with the taillight clusters connected with the “Y” lights and the new rear diffuser, harmonizing the rear silhouette. The Urus SE pays homage to classic design while demonstrating enhanced sportiness as a super SUV with innovative concepts. The interior design follows the “Feel Like a Pilot” concept, featuring a 12.3-inch central touchscreen with the new Human Machine Interface (HMI), allowing enhanced interaction between the driver and the digital system.

Opening the driver's door projects "edition Dakar" onto the street with LED lights. The exclusive key cover reflects the edition Dakar's class. Optionally, a convenience key with anti-theft alarm opens doors and the luggage compartment via wireless communication. Sensors on the door handles allow the key to lock the vehicle.

The electrically powered SUV marks the first time the brand with the four rings has produced an all-electric Audi model at its headquarters in Ingolstadt. Audi is building the electric motors for the premiere Premium Platform Electric (PPE) model in Győr, Hungary. In this interview, Siegfried Schmidtner, plant manager in Ingolstadt, and Alfons Dintner, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria, discuss the collaboration between the two sites, the mood among employees in the light of the company’s ongoing transformation, and the future prospects for Ingolstadt and Győr.
Mr. Schmidtner, what’s the attitude of the workforce in Ingolstadt toward the upcoming shift to electric mobility? Siegfried Schmidtner: Our employees are key to the transformation; I observe daily that they are incredibly positive and motivated by the shift. There is a palpable sense of optimism. We’ve been working hard to prepare for the transformation to electric mobility – so we’re ready to get going. Electric mobility represents a tremendous opportunity for Ingolstadt. We will be the pioneer for the Premium Platform Electric and the new E3 electronics architecture. We’re proud to play a vital role in shaping the company’s transformation. What challenges do Győr and Ingolstadt face in view of the impending changes? Alfons Dintner: Győr has been manufacturing for 30 years. The site has successfully handled numerous model launches, so it is prepared for the transformation, the changeover, and the zeitgeist. The people who work here have been with the company for a long time and are therefore very experienced. In addition, Audi Hungaria doesn’t only build engines but also entire vehicles. It has its own technical development department, in-house toolmaking shop and offers services to the whole Volkswagen Group. As a result, we have a unique responsibility within the Group because there is no other site that can provide such a broad range of services.
In this ninth episode on the history of NSU to mark the brand’s 150th anniversary, Audi Tradition presents the pre-war NSU Type 6/60 PS racing car.
NSU participated in international automobile races as early as 1908. The company’s participation in the 1909 Prince Henry Tour — and numerous endurance and reliability races — was a great success. After World War I, the Automobil-Verkehrs- und Übungsstraße (AVUS) opened in Berlin in 1921. The circuit, which was closed to public traffic until 1940, served as the first race and test track in Germany to demonstrate the competitiveness of the country’s automotive industry. A “small” NSU, the NSU 8/24 PS, won its class at the first AVUS race in September 1921. The basic design of the racing version was the same as the production model; all the Neckarsulm-based company had to do was modify the car slightly to create an open-top racing two-seater. The company, then known as Neckarsulmer Fahrzeugwerke Aktiengesellschaft, returned to the drawing board and developed the NSU Type 6/60 PS specifically for racing. This racing car was NSU’s first six-cylinder model. The “6” designated its “tax horsepower”, which was necessary for classification in its tax class. The open two-seater had an output of 60 PS and weighed 830 kilograms (1,830 lb) with a top speed of 175 km/h (109 mph). It was built in 1925 and 1926 – regulations of the time meant it came only in white, the designated color for German racing. In 1925, the Neckarsulm-based company entered one of the new six-cylinder supercharged racing cars in the 450-kilometer International Taunus Race – and won. The following year, NSU celebrated a highly acclaimed quadruple victory with the NSU Type 6/60 PS at the first “1926 German Grand Prix” in the 1.5-liter class at the AVUS on July 11, taking fifth place overall.
For the first time in the history of Lamborghini, turnover exceeded the €2 billion mark after nine months, an +5.2% increase compared to the previous year. At the same time the operating result amounted to €618 million, exceeding the level of the fiscal year 2022.

The expectations for the last quarter propel the company towards the best financial year ever and further strengthen our positioning in the luxury segment.” In terms of deliveries, the record stands at 7,744 cars with a +4.2% increase compared to the previous year. Sales numbers refer almost exclusively to the two internal combustion-engined models Urus and Huracan, sold outuntil the end of production expected in the second half of 2024, after which the range will be fully hybridized. In terms of deliveries in the macro-areas, the three regions EMEA, America and Asia Pacific distributed 3,117, 2,728 and 1,899 cars respectively. In terms of individual markets, the United States remains in first place (2,342 cars delivered), followed by Germany (709 units), the United Kingdom (688), the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macau (643), Japan (434), Middle East (370) and Italy (336).
