Unmistakable design with new details makes for impressive street presence Headlights and rear lights customizable for the first time thanks to digital lighting technology The variable interior concept offers the ideal basis for family, business, and free time
Audi has once again upgraded its flagship family SUV with a clear design and even better technology. The fresh exterior design with new front and rear sections underscores the powerful character of the SUV, which offers first-class versatility and generous space for up to seven passengers. For the first time in a Q7, the HD Matrix LED headlights with laser as an additional high beam feature digital daytime running lights with selectable light signatures. Digital OLED rear lights with four selectable rear light designs complete the light offering. New wheels, colors, decorative inlays, and seats with contrasting stitching lend the Q family’s most versatile SUV an even higher level of customizability. The new Audi Q7 starts at 79,300 euros.
From a study to a successful production model The Audi Q7’s journey of success began in 2003 as a concept car called the Audi Pikes Peak quattro at the North American International Motor Show. Conceived as a vehicle suitable driving on all roads and moderate off-road use, the current Q7 – which has been delighting customers worldwide for 18 years – remains true to its virtues of design, technology, and functionality. The first SUV from the brand with the four rings was unveiled to the public at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA), just in time for the 25th anniversary of the quattro permanent four-wheel drive with Torsen center differential (40:60 front/rear torque distribution). The new “superlative” in the SUV segment, as Audi put it at the launch of the Q7, combines poise, sportiness, and versatility. Since its launch, the Audi Q7 is seen as an all-rounder that combines high prestige with a wide range of applications.
Suitability for everyday use confirmed: a Paralympian and a wheelchair user test the Audi charging hub The Audi Q4 e-tron model family offers driving aids from the factory Ample room between charging stations and adjustable and lightweight equipment are decisive factors for easy use
When creating infrastructure for electric vehicles, it is important to remember people with mobility requirements. Audi brand ambassador Gerd Schönfelder, the most successful Winter Paralympian of all time, and Audi driver Uwe Herrmann have clear ideas on what charging without barriers and disability-friendly vehicle modifications should look like. Schönfelder lost his right arm and shoulder in an accident at the age of 19, while Hermann has been using a wheelchair since adolescence. While Schönfelder has been driving an Audi Q4 e-tron for the past 18 months, Herrmann (still) drives an Audi with a gasoline engine and is curious to hear about Schönfelder’s experiences. At the opening of the sixth Audi charging hub in Frankfurt am Main, the two men met up for a chat.
Gerd Schönfelder: Public charging stations must be accessible for all electric car drivers, including people with mobility needs. With its barrier-free features like the swivel arm and the height-adjustable display, the Audi charging hub is a great place for people like us with disabilities to charge their cars in a comfortable environment quickly. In my opinion, however, everybody benefits from the barrier-free concept at this charging facility. Uwe Herrmann: I’m still driving a car with a gasoline engine, but everything I’ve heard about e-mobility to date sounds positive. And the Audi charging hub looks promising, too. Sometimes, I have to ask for help filling up my current Audi SQ5 when the car is in an awkward position. But that could soon change with an electrically powered Audi at a charging point like this.

99 times pure fascination: from the unique ice race concept to a special edition Audi exclusive: three decades of customization expertise at the sporty Audi subsidiary Bernhard Neufeld, Head of Audi exclusive: “New style of the ice race edition as the emotional pinnacle of electromobility”
Audi celebrates the 40th anniversary of Audi Sport GmbH, which emerged from quattro GmbH founded in 1983, with the Audi RS e-tron GT (combined electric power consumption in kWh/100 km [62.1 mi]: 22.1–19.8, combined CO2 emissions in g/km [g/mi]: 0) as a special edition: The ice race edition embodies a new form of individualization. This edition enriches the emotional portfolio of Audi exclusive – an offering that has delighted the brand’s distinguished clientele for some three decades now.
Audi draws its inspiration for this edition from the unique GP Ice Race in Austria. The color tones of the world of snow are reflected on the outer skin of the body and are continued in the interior. With its basic color Florett silver metallic and the black carbon roof in combination with a striking foil warp, the Audi RS e-tron GT ice race edition appears magical at first sight. The colors silver and white symbolize sparkling snow crystals and ice lakes, the purple accents evoke images of shimmering ski goggles. The precise accentuations and transparent patterns harmoniously, yet excitingly, reproduce the style of mountainous winter worlds. This color scheme is continued in the interior: seat center panels, shoulder arches and side bolsters in diamond silver leather emphasize this character. Combined with black leather sections and contrasting purple stitching, the four-door Gran Turismo spoils you with an exclusive ambience. Striking details round off the interior experience. “This new style of the ice race edition underscores the emotional pinnacle of electric mobility at Audi,” says Bernhard Neufeld, Head of Audi exclusive.
To mark the 150th anniversary at Audi's Neckarsulm site, twelve apprentices electrified a classic car made in Neckarsulm An NSU Prinz 4L built in 1971 received a powertrain using components from the Audi e-tron and the Audi Q7TFSI e quattroAudi Board Member for Human Resources Xavier Ros: "Projects like this show that our company has a strong future thanks to our young talent."
Family Day debut: To mark the 150th anniversary at the Audi site in Neckarsulm, twelve apprentices at the Four Rings electrified an iconic classic car. On July 8, trainees from the automotive mechatronics, bodywork, and vehicle construction mechanics and painting courses proudly unveiled the "EP4”. The "E" stands for electric drive, and the "P4" for the NSU Prinz 4, a model produced in Neckarsulm by NSU Motorenwerke from 1961 to 1973.
"We wanted to build a car that was not only fast and looked cool but also honored the 150th-anniversary of the site," says Dean Scheuffler, an apprentice automotive mechanic at Audi in Neckarsulm. The perfect starting point: an NSU Prinz 4 built in 1971, which had been off the road for decades until its resurrection in January 2023. The apprentices awoke this "prince" from its slumber and fitted it with a new high-voltage heart. But it was a long roadfrom the project launch in January to the big reveal at the Family Day. In numerous team meetings, trainees, trainers, and project managers exchanged views on the project‘s status, challenges, and next steps. The first task was to create a solid foundation for the conversion.
Audi CEO Markus Duesmann says: “The 43 percent increase in deliveries for all-electric models shows how attractive our electric portfolio already is” CFO Jürgen Rittersberger says: “Given our holistic approach to sustainability, an ESG rating will help us identify further room for improvement” Revenue increases in the first quarter of 2023 to €16.9 billion, operating profit to €1.8 billion, net cash flow of €1.7 billion slightly above previous year
The Audi Group has started off 2023 with strong delivery figures in nearly all core regions. In the first quarter, the brand group delivered some 422,000 Audi, Bentley, and Lamborghini vehicles – around 8 percent more than in the same period last year. The improved supply situation for semiconductors allowed the company to better meet the high demand for Audi models, in Europe and the USA in particular. Revenue increased to €16.9 billion. The operating profit climbed to €1.8 billion, while the operating margin of 10.8 percent was at the upper end of the strategic target corridor. The 43 percent increase in deliveries of electric cars demonstrates that the brand group is on the right track. In the company’s ongoing electrification journey, Audi has picked up considerable speed: In the largest model offensive in Audi’s history, the brand has announced the launch of around 20 new models between late 2023 and late 2025, more than ten of which will be all-electric.
The entire brand group started 2023 with a strong first quarter. With 421,824 vehicles delivered (Q1 2022: 390,826), the Audi, Bentley, and Lamborghini brands delivered 7.9 percent more cars than the previous year’s figure. Thanks to the improved supply situation for semiconductors, the Audi brand delivered 415,684 (Q1 2022: 385,084) vehicles to customers worldwide.
