The e-rickshaw drives through the Audi site in Brussels. The plant operates the largest photovoltaic system in the capital city, covering 107,000 square meters and generating around 9,000 megawatt hours of electricity a year. The rickshaw is also powered by batteries: it was converted to electric drive by trainees from Audi's Neckarsulm site using discarded second-life batteries from Audi e-tron test vehicles. The Audi Foundation for the Environment is sponsoring the project of the German Indian start-up Nunam, which is putting three electric rickshaws on India's roads.
