AUDI AG has been producing automobiles at its site in Aurangabad in the Indian federal state of Maharashtra since September 2007. The Audi A3 Sedan*, Audi A4 Sedan*, Audi A6 Sedan* and the Audi Q3*, Audi Q5* and Audi Q7* are produced at the plant of Skoda Auto India Private Limited (SAIPL). In addition, SAIPL produces the Volkswagen Jetta as well as the Skoda models Yeti, Octavia* and Superb in Aurangabad.
As well as producing Audi automobiles, Audi is continuously expanding its sales activities and the structure of its dealer network in the Indian market. The brand with the Four Rings is currently available from 39 Audi dealerships in India.
In the spring of 2007, an independent sales company was founded that coordinates the business activities of Audi in the Indian market. As well as producing the six Audi models A3, A4, A6, Q3, Q5 and Q7 for the Indian market, Audi also imports models including the Audi A3 Cabrio*, Audi TT*, , Audi RS 5*, Audi RS 7 Sportback*, Audi A8*, Audi R8* and Audi R8 Spyder*.
