Martin Tomczyk named “racer of the year”
- Professional ADAC jury selects Audi “factory” driver
- DTM driver recognised for performance and fairness
- Award ceremony during gala in Salzburg on 24 November
Audi “factory” driver Martin Tomczyk follows in the footsteps of motor racing stars like Walter Röhrl, Michael Schumacher or Bernd Schneider: The ADAC selected the 25-year-old driver from Rosenheim (Bavaria) as the “racer of the year 2007”. In the past season, Tomczyk had clinched third place overall in the DTM and, with two victories, had one exploit more to his credit than his teammate and new DTM champion Mattias Ekström.
