DTM Zandvoort 2015
Mike Rockenfeller

A best time set by Mike Rockenfeller in the Schaeffler Audi RS 5 DTM of Audi Sport Team Phoenix kicked off the Dutch round of the DTM at Zandvoort. The 2013 DTM Champion moved to the front of the field right at the beginning of the 45-minute first free practice session on Friday afternoon. Rockenfeller’s best time of 1m 32.009s from lap four remained unmatched until the end.

With a total of 28 laps, Rockenfeller and Jamie Green in the Hoffmann Group Audi RS 5 DTM of Audi Sport Team Rosberg were the busiest drivers of the day. Both Audi drivers simulated the full 40-minute distance of Saturday’s race, Green on used tires.

“My car was pretty good,” said Mike Rockenfeller. “We changed the set-up a little in last year’s direction. As a result, I feel clearly more comfortable in the car and am looking forward to tomorrow.”
