Two Audi cars in the lead

At the Nürburgring 24 Hours, Audi has held the lead continuously since the 26th lap. Four hours before the finish, Audi Sport Team Land with Kelvin van der Linde/Christopher Mies/Connor De Phillippi/Markus Winkelhock control the pace after 131 laps. Two minutes behind are Marcel Fässler/Robin Frijns/Nico Müller/René Rast from Audi Sport Team WRT in second place. Audi Sport Team Land has been dealt some bad luck with its second car: a flat tire caused some subsequent damages to the car that require lengthy repairs. The number 28 has therefore fallen to 50th place. The third best Audi on track is the number 5 Phoenix Racing car with Dennis Busch/Nicolaj Møller Madsen/Mike Rockenfeller/Frank Stippler, which has improved to 25th position. Currently, another Audi Sport customer racing privateer team occupies 30th – the Car Collection Motorsport crew with Klaus Koch/Lorenzo Rocco/Ronny Saurenmann/Jan-Erik Slooten.
