Audi Sport customer racing achieved three results among the top ten in qualifying for the Gulf 12 Hours in a strong field of 34 entrants. The best result was achieved by Audi Sport Team Tresor. The three Audi Sport drivers Mattia Drudi/Kelvin van der Linde/Dennis Marschall shared the number 66 Audi R8 LMS from Arkin Aka’s racing team and achieved third place on average of the best times of all drivers. Only two tenths of a second separate them from the top. Two more Audi R8 LMS follow two rows further back on the grid. The Saintéloc Junior Team with Simon Gachet/Lucas Légeret/Gilles Magnus set the seventh-best time in car number 26. The number 25 sister car was only about a tenth of a second slower: GT4 rookie Erwan Bastard qualified for eighth place on the grid with Audi Sport drivers Christopher Haase and Patric Niederhauser. A fourth Audi finished 30th: Alex Aka/Pietro Delli Guanti/Finlay Hutchison are on the grid for Tresor Attempto Racing in the number 99 car and will start the race from row 15. The 12-hour race will start on Sunday, December 11, at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi at 10 a.m. local time (7 a.m. CET).
