Three Audi cars in the top ten

In the Nürburgring 24 Hours, three teams from Audi climbed into the top ten rankings in the first four hours. Audi Sport Team WRT came from 23rd spot on the grid and held sixth place at the 4-hour mark. Last year’s winners Audi Sport Team Land were seventh, having started from 15th on the grid. Sheldon van der Linde sat behind the wheel of the number 1 car. Frédéric Vervisch was classified ninth in the number 3 Audi R8 LMS from Audi Sport Team Phoenix. Two more Audi R8 LMS cars from Peter Mücke were among the top 16 cars. Team Car Collection has entered two more Audi R8 LMS cars that held 25th and 31st positions respectively. Phoenix Racing led the SP 8 class with an Audi R8 LMS GT4. The TCR class saw the Prosport-Performance GmbH Audi RS 3 LMS in third spot.
