René Rast in second place at FIA GT World Cup

In the first race of the new Audi R8 LMS in Asia, René Rast (Audi Sport Team WRT) clinched a second place in the new FIA GT World Cup in Macau. On the narrow city street circuit, Rast had initially taken third place, trailing Edoardo Mortara in the R8 LMS of Audi Sport Team Phoenix. When Mortara retroactively received a 20-second penalty for jump-starting, Rast moved up to second place in his first Macau race. Three-time Macau winner Mortara was classified in sixth place.
