Red flag at Spa

After numerous caution periods due to heavy rain and aquaplaning hazards at night, race control decided to stop the 2019 Spa 24 Hours with red-flag conditions on Sunday morning at 5:44 am local time. At this point, René Rast in the no. 1 Audi R8 LMS from Audi Sport Team WRT was in ninth position, trailed by Frédéric Vervisch in the no. 25 car of Audi Sport Team Saintéloc. The no. 10 car from Belgian Audi Club Team WRT was 17th and thus the third best Audi. The no. 129 Montaplast by Land-Motorsport entry was 23rd in the interim classification. No decision to restart the race will be taken prior to 11:30 am.
