Christopher Haase
“A great race on a great race track here at Laguna Seca. We were strong over the entire weekend. We started from pole position however the two drive-through penalties gave us a bit of a fright. Still, our Audi Sport Team Land coped perfectly and got us back into the race with a good strategy. Ultimately, we turned into the ones who were hunted, but our pursuers put us under a lot of pressure. Thanks to the double victory for Audi, we also managed to secure the manufacturers’ title. And, of course, it’s wonderful that I could also score second place in the drivers’ standings.”

Kelvin van der Linde
“What a fantastic race. Last year we were the hunters, this year we were the hunted. The race developed an exciting dynamic – over the entire eight hours, in fact. It was incredibly close amongst the frontrunners and it was completely jumbled amongst the brands. At the end of the day I can only thank our team most heartily. With a fantastic strategy they put us back in the game. I dedicate this victory to our team. It was a very special moment to cross the finish line flying the Audi flag today.”

Christopher Mies
“I want to thank the entire team and my teammates very much. I’m so happy. A win, a second place and the manufacturers’ title as a result – that was fantastic and important. In spite of the two minor setbacks at the beginning, we made an impressive comeback with a clever strategy and underlined our great teamwork. The boys from the Audi Sport Team WRT did a great job as well – good enough to score first and second in the race.”
