Battle for victory comes to a head

After 20 hours of racing, the Spa 24 Hours remain completely open: With Audi, Ferrari and Aston Martin, three brands are on the lead lap and seven brands are among the top ten. The fastest of the four Audi R8 LMS cars continues to be Audi Sport Team WRT’s number 32. Kelvin van der Linde with his driver colleagues Dries Vanthoor and Charles Weerts came within 2.4 seconds of the leading Ferrari at midday. Audi Sport Team Attempto follows in fourth place with another R8 LMS and the driver team of Mattia Drudi, Dennis Marschall and Christopher Mies. They are trailed by the number 37 from Audi Sport Team WRT with Robin Frijns, Dennis Lind and Nico Müller. Audi Sport Team Saintéloc completes the varied front field: Christopher Haase, Patric Niederhauser and Markus Winkelhock are eighth. In the Silver Cup classification, Team Attempto Racing is on course for a podium result: Alex Aka, Max Hofer and Fabien Lavergne are the third-best team in this class.
