Audi driver Rockenfeller thrills fans of Classic Days Schloss Dyck
From classic vehicles with sparkling chrome to a race car that makes the hearts of fans beat faster – the Classic Days Schloss Dyck near Jüchen thrilled some 40,000 automobile enthusiasts on the first weekend in August. The resounding highlights of the classics and motor festival in the Rhineland included the show runs by Audi factory driver Mike Rockenfeller. A week before racing in the DTM on its return to Brands Hatch, the 2013 DTM Champion piloted an Audi RS 5 DTM across a 2.8-kilometer circuit through the park on Saturday and Sunday, a special experience even for the seasoned pro: “This was my first time here and definitely not my last. The Classic Days with the Dyck castle as an impressive backdrop are a really cool event. Watching the Audi RS 5 DTM at such close range was, no doubt, an additional treat for the many fans. I left an extra amount of rubber on the road during my donuts and subsequently signed plenty of autographs.”
