Audi factory driver Nico Müller caused a sensation on making his first appearance in Formula E. One day following the E-Prix in Marrakesh (Morocco), the Swiss in the rookie test of the electric racing series beat the existing track record on the street circuit. The day’s best time of 1m 19.651s in the Audi e-tron FE04 was nearly one second faster than the rest of the field. With 98 completed laps, the DTM driver was also the busiest of all 20 Formula E rookies as well. Dutchman Nyck de Vries, due to technical reasons, was only able to do a total of 17 laps, but made it into the top ten with a very strong performance.
