“We prepared well for the race and were concentrated in our work, even though there were still some inconsistencies with the balance of performance in Superpole qualifying. Our race was shaped by both the quantity and the quality of the cars and the strong teams in the background. The race started in thrilling fashion and we were very hopeful until daybreak when things started to go wrong. However, nobody gave up and everybody kept their eyes on the ball. In this way we celebrated a podium in the overall rankings and one in the Pro-Am class category and also won the Coupe du Roi.”

Nico Müller

“We knew that it would be a long race. In such a competition anything is possible. It was clear to us after the accident that we could still finish in the top ten, just as long as we made the finish. In Audi Sport Team WRT we have a fabulous team behind us and the motivation is never in doubt. This team spirit carried us to the front and third place is a thank you to everybody.”

René Rast

“Our race started well. We were running in the lead group. Unfortunately, a Jaguar rammed me in the rear when I was braking for turn 12 in the evening. We had to change a tire and repair the car. Afterwards, Nico, Laurens and I attacked again. We wanted to show just how far forward we could get. I think we did this very well.”

Laurens Vanthoor

“I view the result with mixed feelings. A podium is of course a fantastic result after our car had to be repaired after a competitor barged into us on Saturday evening. However, this shows together with pole position and the fastest race lap just what could have been possible. If you look at it like this then a third place is not so great. Thanks to everybody for not losing motivation.”
