Electric drive system
At Audi, “e-tron” is used to designate all models that exclusively drive on electric power. Electric car batteries can be recharged in two ways: using an external source – such as a charging station or Wallbox – or using a process known as energy recovery (recuperation) while the car is in motion.

Electrically powered cars not only need to heat the interior in winter, but also to keep the battery system at the right temperature.
