Alexander Reinhart - Chairman of the Works Council of AUDI AG, Plant Neckarsulm, Member of the Supervisory Board of AUDI AG, Vice Chairman of the General Works Council of AUDI AG

Alexander Reinhart was born in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany, in 1985.

He began his career in 2004 as an apprentice mechatronics technician at AUDI AG in Neckarsulm. That same year, he became a member of Germany’s Industrial Union of Metalworkers (IG Metall). After completing his training, Reinhart worked from 2007 to 2012 as a production specialist, a welding line operator in B/C-segment body construction, and a co-trainer for electrical engineering. In 2012, he successfully completed his advanced training as a REFA technician and then worked in industrial engineering at the plants until 2014.

Since 2014, Reinhart has been a member of the Works Council of AUDI AG, Plant Neckarsulm. He first became a union representative in 2004. From 2008 to 2010, he was both chairman of the youth and apprentice representative body (JAV) in Neckarsulm and vice chairman of the general JAV. Reinhart has been a member of the board of union representatives since 2008 and served as the board’s chairman from 2020 to 2021. He has also been active on the IG Metall local executive committee in Neckarsulm since 2016.

Reinhart joined the Audi General Works Council in 2018, and he has been a member of the Economic Committee of AUDI AG since 2020. In 2021, he assumed the role of Vice Chairman of the Works Council in Neckarsulm and thus became a member of the Group Works Council of Volkswagen AG. On January 1, 2022, he joined the Supervisory Board of AUDI AG, where he serves on the Audit Committee.

In 2026, Reinhart was elected Chairman of the Works Council of AUDI AG, Plant Neckarsulm.
