The new Audi RS 3 offers driving dynamics on the highest level and optimum values in its segment. With a 400-hp five-cylinder engine that generates 500 Nm of torque, the car ensures quick acceleration and highly emotional sound. This is the first Audi ever to include the RS torque splitter, which variably distributes the torque between the rear wheels. In terms of looks, the RS 3 demonstrates its sporty genes with a widened body, the RS sport exhaust system and cockpit displays resembling those used in motorsport.

    Lap record on the Nordschleife: Audi RS 3 fastest in the compact class

    With a time of 7:40.748 minutes, the new Audi RS 3 Seda is the fastest compact model on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. In June, Audi Sport racing and development driver Frank Stippler beat the previous lap record in that class by 4.64 seconds. Above all, the torque splitter, with its fully variable torque distribution on the rear axle, contributed to the record time – Vorsprung durch Technik.

The torque splitter, installed in an Audi for the first time, gives the vehicle maximum agility and optimum stability. Two additional RS driving modes make both fast lap times and controlled drifts on closed-off tracks possible. The new RS 3 is available to order starting today. In Germany, the RS 3 Sportback starts at 60,000 euros, the RS 3 Sedan at 62,000 euros.
