Dieter Dehoorne appointed new Audi Board Member for Procurement
- The designated Board Member for Procurement, an internationally seasoned automotive and energy sector expert, will start at the beginning of 2026

The Supervisory Board of AUDI AG has appointed Dieter Dehoorne to the Board of Management for Procurement. He will assume the position at the beginning of 2026. The Belgian native most recently served as Chief Procurement Officer at the Danish company Vestas Wind Systems. Prior to that, he held various management positions at Volvo Cars for over two decades – including in China, North America, and Europe.

Dieter Dehoorne was born in Ghent, Belgium. He attended school in France and the US and studied Industrial Engineering in Belgium and Spain. He brings more than 25 years of professional experience in the automotive and energy industries, including over 20 years in various positions at Volvo Cars.
Since 2020, Dehoorne has held the role of Group Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer at Vestas Wind Systems in Denmark. During his career, he has worked in Europe, the United States, and China. Dehoorne is fluent in four languages.
Dieter Dehoorne succeeds Renate Vachenauer who left the company at her own request and by mutual agreement. Gerd Walker has assumed the interim management of the Procurement division since October 15, 2025.
