Jörg Menges - Biography
- Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Audi FAW NEV Company
Jörg Menges was born in Ludwigshafen in 1967. He graduated from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern in 1994 with a degree in industrial engineering.
Menges began his career at Audi as a trainee in 1995 and then gained his first international experience as an assembly planner at FAW-Volkswagen in Changchun. After returning to Germany in 1997, he held numerous management positions in manufacturing and production planning at the Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm sites. From 2009, he was first responsible for the assembly of the A3 and Q2 series and from 2016 to 2019 for all vehicle assembly in Ingolstadt. Subsequently, Menges was Director of Production at FAW-Volkswagen in Changchun until 2022, where he managed one of China’s largest automotive plants. He returned to Germany at the end of 2022, taking over as Head of Product Engineering at the Ingolstadt site.
On April 1, 2026, Jörg Menges became CEO of Audi FAW NEV Company in Changchun, which has been producing innovative premium electric models for the Chinese market since it opened its production site at the end of 2024.
