André Richter
- Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi México
André Richter was born in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1976.
Richter studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, specializing in production engineering and manufacturing technology. After graduating, he joined Audi as an international trainee in 2002. During his early years at AUDI AG, Richter also completed a doctorate at Dresden University of Technology, which he was awarded in 2009.
André Richter has extensive international experience, which has already seen him work for Audi in Mexico: during the construction and start-up phase of the plant in San José Chiapa, Richter was Planning Project Manager from 2012 to 2014 and Planning Director from 2014 to 2017.
He then became Head of Planning at the Audi plant in Neckarsulm until 2019, and he was Head of Strategic Production Planning at AUDI AG from 2019 to 2023. After that, he was Plant Manager at FAW-VW Tianjin in China.
André Richter has been the new Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi México since April 1, 2026.
