Heinrich Fikentscher was responsible for the company name Audi: for legal reasons August Horch was not allowed to give his second company his own name again. Heinrich, the ten-year-old son of his friend Franz Fikentscher, suggested the Latin translation of "horch" (the German word for "hark!"), namely "audi", as the new company name.
