Audi saved nearly €110 million with clever employee ideas in 2018

Instead of sticking extra barcode labels on plastic parts, the plant in Neckarsulm now uses a special camera. It can read the data-matrix code that is already marked in the injection mold, eliminating the need for the additional stickers. Savings for Audi due to this idea from an employee from the planning department: about €21,000 each year.
