Audi Sport GmbH (formerly quattro GmbH) was established in 1983 as a fully owned subsidiary of AUDI AG. The company began to market an exclusive collection of lifestyle articles in 1985. In 1995, Audi Sport GmbH presented an extensive customisation range for Audi models for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The company has been registered as a manufacturer of high-performance cars since 1996. Audi Sport GmbH models are produced at the Audi Sport GmbH production facility in Neckarsulm (Audi R8) and at the Neckarsulm and Ingolstadt sites (Audi RS 3, RS 4, RS 5). Here, the company’s team of around 830 employees are constantly breaking new ground in terms of exclusive customisation.

    Oliver Hoffmann takes over as the new Head of Technical Development at Audi Sport

    Oliver Hoffmann (40) took over as Head of Technical Development at Audi Sport GmbH on October 1. He succeeds Stephan Reil (52) in this role, and is now responsible for the upcoming product campaign from the Audi subsidiary brand. By 2020, the number of Audi Sport series production models is set to increase from 11 to 16.

    Return of the RS icon: the new Audi RS 4 Avant

    Audi Sport GmbH celebrates the world debut of the new Audi RS 4 Avant (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 8.8; combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 200-199*) at the IAA 2017. It combines high performance with tremendous everyday usability. Its 2.9 TFSI engine with 331 kW (450 hp) and 600 Nm of torque makes it the sporty vanguard of the A4 family. The standard quattro drive distributes the power of the V6 biturbo to all four wheels.

    Puristic driving dynamics: the new Audi R8 V10 RWS

    The Audi Sport GmbH is extending its R8 model series to include a new derivative with rear-wheel drive. The Audi R8 V10 RWS (Combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 12.6 – 12.4, combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 286 – 283**) comes in a limited series of 999 units with both Coupé and Spyder variants. It will be rear-driven (Rear Wheel Series) and be built exclusively by hand at the Böllinger Höfe R8 factory.

    Audi at the IAA 2017: Autonomous driving in three steps

    Progress in three levels: Audi is showcasing its autonomous driving strategy at the IAA 2017. The new Audi A8 incorporates conditional automated driving at level 3 as standard. Two concept cars will also be demonstrating the Audi vision for level 4 and level 5. They also provide insights into the brand’s future Audi AI technologies. Other production models – from sporty to ultra-efficient – round off the motor show presence of the brand with the four rings.

    Audi Sport at the Monterey Car Week

    The Audi R8 Spyder V10 plus (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 12.3; combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 287) will be making its debut appearance in the United States this weekend at the Monterey Car Week. Audi Sport is using the occasion to celebrate the long and successful motorsport involvement of the brand with the four rings. Current road and racing models will also be presented.
