Audi Sport GmbH - formerly quattro GmbH - was established in 1983 as a fully owned subsidiary of AUDI AG. The company has been registered as a manufacturer of high-performance cars since 1996. Audi Sport GmbH headquarters are based in Neckarsulm. The Audi Sport High-performance R and RS models are produced at the Audi Sport facilities at “Böllinger Höfe” (R8) and at the Neckarsulm and Ingolstadt production sites. The company’s team of over 1100 employees are constantly breaking new ground in terms of exclusive customisation and unique brand experience.

    25 years ago, the first Audi RS model was launched on the market in the form of the Audi RS 2 Avant, marking the beginning of a success story. With their proximity to motor racing and their exclusiveness, the Audi RS models have always held a particular fascination. To date, Audi Sport GmbH, formerly quattro GmbH, has presented a total of 25 RS models. In 2019, six further product innovations are being presented, of which two are completely new RS models.

    Audi Sport GmbH to be managed in the future by Oliver Hoffmann and Julius Seebach

    Oliver Hoffmann (42) and Julius Seebach (35) are to take over the management of Audi Sport GmbH on May 1, 2019. The current Managing Director, Michael-Julius Renz (62), is to retire. Audi’s Head of Sport Technology, Oliver Hoffmann, has been a member of the management since June 2018, and will also be responsible for technical development at Audi Neckarsulm as of May 1. Julius Seebach will be responsible for commercial functions within the management.

    Homage to ten years of the V10 engine: the Audi R8 V10 Decennium

    Audi is celebrating the success story of the V10 engine with the Audi R8 V10 Decennium (combined fuel consumption l/100 km: 13,1 [18.0 US mpg]; combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 297 [478 g/mi]*). A 456 kW (620 hp) V10 engine, bronze-colored highlights inside and out, and strictly limited: The edition model with 222 units coincides with the sales launch of the new Audi R8. The name Decennium comes from Latin and means “decade.” It stands for ten years of fascination on the road and success in motorsport.

    Audi Sport is now accepting orders for the Audi RS 5 Sportback (combined fuel consumption l/100 km: 9.1 (25.8 US mpg); combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 207 – 206 (333.1 – 331.5 g/mi)* in Germany and other European countries. The five-door, high-performance model combines exceptional design and high everyday usability with maximum performance.

    Audi Sport drivers club: Exclusive customer program off to successful start

    Audi Sport has already established the Audi Sport drivers club successfully in the German market. In 2019 the exclusive customer program for all R and RS model owners is moving into the next phase: Audi Sport is opening the club to additional markets while expanding the range of benefits to include a members-only Audi Sport online presence. The Audi Sport drivers club offers unique events, such as dynamic driving experiences, tours of Audi production facilities and manufactures, and exclusive insights into the future model lineup.
