Today, Dirk Große-Loheide, Board member of AUDI AG for Procurement and IT, Alfons Dintner, Chairman of the Board of Audi Hungaria Zrt. and Dr. Patrick Heinecke, Board member of Audi Hungaria for Finance, IT, Procurement and Compliance signed the memorandum of association of AUDI HUNGARIA AHEAD Kft. Until now, Audi Hungaria had bundled its services in the areas of technical development, finance, IT, procurement and logistics in the virtual business division Shared Competence Center (SCC). In the future, company functions not directly related to production, such as parts of procurement, IT and finance, will now be transferred to the new wholly-owned subsidiary.

“With the founding of AUDI HUNGARIA AHEAD Kft. today, we are starting a new chapter in the Audi Hungaria success story,” says Dirk Große-Loheide, Board member of AUDI AG for Procurement and IT. “In future, even more premium services for the entire Volkswagen Group will come from Győr. With this plus in synergies, we are positioning ourselves to be even more competitive in the era of transformation within the automotive industry. The competences of our employees are a solid basis for the further development with which we offer our services in the areas of procurement, finance and IT in a future-oriented manner. The targeted bundling of this globally relevant know-how in one company supports the realisation of Group-wide synergy potential in Hungary – from Győr to the world,” says Dr. Patrick Heinecke, Board member of Audi Hungaria for Finance, IT, Procurement and Compliance.

Over the past 15 years, Audi Hungaria has continuously expanded its service activities within the Volkswagen Group. The foundation of the new subsidiary is the consequence of the know-how built up over the years and the high level of trust placed in the company by its internal customers. AUDI HUNGARIA AHEAD Kft. plans to expand its service volume over the next five years.

Andreas Kattendick and János Schäffer were appointed managing directors of the new company. Dirk Große-Loheide, Board member of AUDI AG for Procurement and IT will be Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AUDI HUNGARIA AHEAD Kft. Members of the Supervisory Commission will be Dr. Patrick Heinecke, Board member of Audi Hungaria for Finance, IT, Procurement and Compliance, Sándor Németh, Chairman of the Independent Trade Union of Audi Hungaria and Zoltán Horváth, Vice Chairman of the Independent Trade Union of Audi Hungaria for the Vehicle Plant.

The virtual SCC division of Audi Hungaria has so far secured jobs for around 1,000 employees. The new company is currently being joined by around 340 colleagues of Audi Hungaria. The employees of the new company will continue to work in Győr, in close cooperation with colleagues of Audi Hungaria.
