Audi Neuburg is a high-tech complex that opened in Neuburg an der Donau in 2014.

Audi Neuburg is home to the Audi driving experience and the Audi Sport Competence Center Motorsportcentre with Audi Sport Motorsport and Audi Sport customer racing. In addition, the technical development here tests driving assistance and safety systems. Around 400 employees are located at the site, the entire energy supply here is CO2-neutral. Habitats for numerous animal and plant species have been created on the site.

The Audi driving experience conducts driving and safety trainings on the course. Audi customers and guests can experience a wide range of models from the brand with the four rings here – on the handling track, on the dynamic pad or by experiencing a drive on the off-road course. The central customer building offers presentation areas, conference rooms and a restaurant. From the terrace, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire site and watch the cars in action.

Interest is high: In 2019 the site attracted over 17,000 visitors, and it hosted 551 events. Over 8,500 guests from 50 countries attended driving training sessions. In total, more than 115,000 fans have visited Audi Neuburg since the opening of the site. Of these, 60,000 people took part in driving sessions.

The German Association for Sustainable Building (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen, DGNB) has awarded the customer building of Audi Neuburg the platinum DGNB certificate for ecological construction (published by DGNB, November 2015).

Neuburg is also home to the Audi Sport Competence Center Motorsport. Since the end of 2014, Audi Sport’s Motorsport teamhas organized coordinated all race assignments worldwide fromNeuburg. The motorsport program at Audi currently comprisesparticipation in Formula E and DTM. The engineers there developand design the racing cars for the brand’s works involvement.Initial roll-out trials are also run on the courses in Neuburg. Therace engines are built at the Audi Neckarsulm site.

The Audi Sport customer racing department develops and sells racing cars for teams worldwide. With the Audi R8 LMS for the motor racing categories GT3 and GT4 as well as the TCR-category touring car Audi RS 3 LMS, Audi Sport customer racing is involved in four internationally significant growth segments.

    AUDI AG is strengthening its presence in the Ingolstadt region: Audi today officially put the high-tech Audi Neuburg complex into operation after a construction period of just two years. In the presence of the Prime Minister of Bavaria, Horst Seehofer, the Mayor of the city of Neuburg an der Donau, Dr. Bernhard Gmehling, and 250 other guests of honor, the 47-hectare site was opened by Prof. Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Board of Management Member for Technical Development of AUDI AG, and Peter Mosch, Chairman of the General Works Council of AUDI AG. Under one roof, the complex accommodates the Competence Center Motorsport with Audi Sport customer racing, the Audi driving experience center and functions of the Technical Development division. Audi is investing a high double-digit million amount in the new site, which is approximately 20 kilometers west of the company’s main site in Ingolstadt and will provide employment for a total of 460 people.
