1909
Establishment of August Horch Automobilwerke GmbH in Zwickau on July 16, after Horch himself had departed from the original Horch Werke AG 

1910
On April 10, change in the new company's name to AUDI Werke GmbH, with head offices in Zwickau, after defeat in a legal dispute (Horch devised the new name by translating his name, which means "hark!", "listen!", into Latin). 

1915
From January 21 on, change of status to the share-issuing company Audiwerke AG, based in Zwickau, with a capital of 1,500,000 Marks

1928
On August 20/21, 1928, J.S. Rasmussen acquired a majority share in AUDI Werke AG 

1929
He purchased the remaining shares. The equity value was 2.6 million RM

1932
On June 29 the company was liquidated and incorporated into AUTO UNION AG
