Audi R8 LMS GT4
Chris Reinke, Frank Biela

During the international press presentation of the Audi R8 RWS (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 12.6–12.4 [18.7–19.0 US mpg], combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 286–283 [460.3–455.4 g/mi]) in Madrid, hosted from February 26th to March 3rd, invited journalists took the opportunity to get chauffeured in an Audi R8 LMS GT4 race car, driven by none other than five-time Le Mans winner and Audi representative Frank Biela and current Audi Sport driver, Frank Stippler. The two professional drivers provided taxi rides in the GT race car, which is closely related to its road-legal “brother”, sharing 60 percent of its assemblies. Like the road-going car, the R8 LMS GT4 is built in the R8 manufacturing facility at the Böllinger Höfe site. During 2018, the Audi R8 LMS GT4 is contesting its first season of GT racing in the hands of customer teams around the world.
