Audi RS 3 LMS #10 (Pit Lane Competizioni/TCR Academy), Giacomo Altoè
Giacomo Altoè enjoyed a strong start in the 2018 TCR Middle East season in Abu Dhabi: The 17-year-old Italian race driver opened his account with pole position and race victory in the season’s first race on the Yas Marina Circuit. Altoè drove the no. 10 Audi RS 3 LMS run by Pit Lane Competizioni on behalf of the TCR Academy. Following a penalty awarded to one of his competitors, Altoè was promoted from fourth to third place in the weekend’s second race. With these results, Altoè left Abu Dhabi as the leader of the drivers’ standings with a one-point advantage, ahead of the second TCR Middle East race weekend one week later at the Dubai Autodrome (January 26–27).
