Last weekend, the 79,500 fans at Hockenheim not only got to enjoy triple racing action delivered to them by the DTM and Audi Sport TT Cup season openers and the third race weekend of the 2017 FIA World Rallycross Championship. The weekend also marked the launch of Audi Sport’s official Snapchat account: “audisportsnaps.” The video sequences of ten seconds per snap now offer Audi Sport fans additional peeks into the world of the #LeagueofPerformance. Snapchat expands Audi Sport’s social media offering – in addition to its Facebook profile with more than seven million fans, the Instagram and the Twitter accounts. On the race track, Snapchat made an appearance as well. The Audi Sport “Snapcode” was featured at racing speed in a prominent spot at Hockenheim: on the hood of Nico Müller’s new Audi RS 5 DTM. “It was an honor to have the logo on my car,” says Nico Müller. “It was also a great idea to provide us drivers with the Spectacles.” These glasses, equipped with a camera and Bluetooth function, are exclusively used for Snapchat. They make it possible for the user to film ten-second videos and to immediately upload them to the platform. Viewing the content is, quite literally, a snap, too: just download the Snapchat app, add “audisportsnaps” or scan the “Snapcode” – that’s it! Video
