Lorenz Führlinger

Lorenz Führlinger was born in 1972 in Bruck/Mur, Austria.

While studying plastics engineering with a focus on materials physics, he wrote his thesis in cooperation with AUDI AG in Ingolstadt. After graduating in 1998, he began his career at Audi as a project coordinator for interior scopes of in-house production. He later held various positions in the field of interior equipment and seat development.

He moved to the Strategic Corporate Planning department in January 2008 and to Audi China in Beijing in September 2010. There, he first took over as Head of Strategy before becoming responsible for the establishment and management of the Research & Development Center.

He returned to Ingolstadt in July 2014, where he was responsible for technical project management for the D-segment vehicles. Starting in 2016, he was in charge of project management for the pre-series production center. In April 2019, Lorenz Führlinger initially took over operational control, before heading the Chassis/Automated Driving department in the Technical Development division in January 2020.

From September 2020 on, as CTE (Chief Technical Engineer) in the Technical Development division, he was in charge of vehicle projects on the Modular Transverse Toolkit (MQB) and flat-floor electric models in the A and B segments on the Scalable Systems Platform (SSP).
