Jörg Willimayer

Jörg Willimayer was born in Roding in 1971. He studied at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences and graduated as a Diplom-Ingenieur in 1997. He started his professional career in the automotive supplier environment. He first worked in project management at the Vaillant foundry.

In 2001, Willimayer joined Georg Fischer Mössner GmbH, where he was head of technology and service and, as an authorized signatory, was a member of the executive management at the Munich plant.

At the end of 2003, he joined Mahle GmbH and from 2004 was plant manager of the German piston plants in Alzenau and Rottweil.

In his professional positions starting in 2007, Jörg Willimayer held management positions in which he was responsible for a wide array of areas within the BMW Group, ranging from the BMW Group foundry to a foreign location.

For example, he was head of planning for process and product development at the BMW Group foundry. For the BMW Group, Jörg Willimayer headed, among other things, powertrain and chassis purchasing, with responsibility for quality management parts, production and purchasing.

Most recently, he was CEO of the BMW plant in San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

Jörg Willimayer has been working for AUDI AG since February 2021.

In his position as Product Line Manager, he is responsible for Audi electric vehicles and vehicles with combustion engines from the C segment up. In this function, Willimayer bears full responsibility for the life cycle of the vehicles and, together with his team, consistently aligns them with customer requirements.
