The new Audi A3 Sportback

Design and body

  • Sporty and progressive design with stretched lines and long wheelbase (2.63 meters [8.65 ft], 4.31 meters (14.14 ft) long

Interior

  • Spacious interior, luggage capacity between 380 and 1,220 liters (13.42 and 43.08 cu ft)
  • Elegant design and exemplary ergonomics
  • Inlays with three-dimensional look and round air nozzles in jet design

Drivetrain

  • At launch two TDI and two TFSI engines with 90 kW (122 hp) to 132 kW (180 hp); all engines with state-of-the-art efficiency technologies
  • 1.6 TDI with consumption of just 3.8 liters per 100 km (61.90 US mpg) (99 grams CO2 per km [159.33 g/mile])
  • Power transmission by manual gearbox or S tronic, front-wheel drive at market launch, quattro permanent all-wheel drive to be introduced later for more powerful engine versions
  • TCNG engine operated on Audi e-gas to debut in the new A3 Sportback; additional versions with powerful and alternative drive systems are in development

Chassis

  • Alloy wheels, 16 to 18-inch, powerful brakes
  • ESC stabilization control with electronic limited slip differential is standard
  • Aluminum front suspension components, electromechanical power steering
  • Optional Audi drive select vehicle dynamics system and adaptive shock absorbers

Equipment and trim

  • Extensive standard features, including comfortable and sporty extras
  • Optional high-performance driver assistance systems, including Audi adaptive cruise control, further developed park assist and Audi pre sense basic
  • Wide range of infotainment components, Audi connect, Bang & Olufsen Sound System
  • MMI navigation plus with MMI touch and seven-inch monitor
