Michael Dick was born on 5th January 1952 in Schrobenhausen, Bavaria.
In 1973, he went to Munich’s University of Applied Sciences to study Mechanical Engineering.
In 1977, Mr Dick embarked on his professional career at AUDI AG, initially working in the Quality Assurance department. Here, he was responsible for a range of assignments, with the main emphasis on quality planning.
From 1988, he was employed as the principal team leader in the Quality Improvement department, before taking over as manager of Quality Improvement, Vehicles and Systems in 1993.
For Volkswagen AG, Michael Dick was employed from 1995 as the departmental head of the Central Quality Assurance department. Two years later, he took over the function of departmental head for Total Passenger Car Development.
In 2003, Michael Dick returned to AUDI AG and until 12th January 2007 headed Development – Total Vehicle, Chassis, Pre-Series Centre and Project Steering.
From 12th January 2007 to 31st August 2012 he was Member of the Board of Management for Technical Development at AUDI AG.
