“Individualized service is becoming even more important for our customers. ‘Premium’ in the after sales business is becoming even more strongly defined by personalized support and custom-tailored solutions,” says Luca de Meo, Board Member for Sales and Marketing at AUDI AG. “With this attitude, we have already achieved a significant increase in customer satisfaction with service – and we want to become even better worldwide. This is what we call Audi Top Service.”
In the Audi Twin Cup, technicians and service advisors compete in the areas of diagnostics and repair, as well as in personal customer support. The highly efficient Audi ultra models played a prominent role in the theoretical and practical tasks for this year’s competition. In addition to specialist competence, close and efficient cooperation between service advisors and service technicians is the primary determining factor in achieving top performance in the realistic work situations.
“The Audi Twin Cup is taking place for the tenth time this year and it has become an established institution in our entire Service Organization. This competition is an impressive display of Audi Top Service worldwide, from Germany to Australia,” says Bernd Hoffmann, Executive Director Service/Genuine Parts at AUDI AG, at the ceremony to honor the winners of the Audi Twin Cup 2014.
Hoffmann presented this year’s Service World Cup trophy to the team from USA. Second place was taken by the technicians and service advisors from Germany, followed by the team from China in third place. This year’s two-day worldwide Twin Cup finals drew 75 teams with 219 service employees from international Audi dealerships to Neuburg an der Donau after prevailing at the preceding national competitions involving around 2,600 teams with about 7,800 participants.
The Audi Twin Cup is held once a year. All dealerships that have a service contract with AUDI AG are eligible to compete. At the venue of this year’s world finals, customers and prospective buyers are able to experience the dynamism of the brand with the four rings during driver and safety trainings. The new Audi driving experience center opened its handling track, dynamics test track and off-road course in May and is located only 18 kilometers (11.2 miles) from the company’s Ingolstadt headquarters and 50 minutes from Munich Airport. The Audi Neuburg location covers 47 hectares and will also be the new home of Audi Sport, which is scheduled to move into the motorsport competence center in August 2014.
