Drones for environmental protection: Successful monitoring of fruit tree orchard stocks
The Audi Environmental Foundation supports geomonitoring: research drones have been flying over the meadow orchards of Bad Schönborn since 2018. These drones are controlled by geographers from Heidelberg University of Education. They then scientifically evaluate the photos with innovative geotechnology in order to develop recommendations for caring for the meadow orchard stocks. This ensures the diversity of the fruit stocks in this Baden-Württemberg community and protects the habitats of native fauna.
