Barça stars master Audi e-tron Challenge
Fine technology for fine feet: The soccer stars from FC Barcelona experienced a unique kind of vehicle handover. Before taking possession of their new Audi models, Lionel Messi, Xavi, Neymar and company proved their skills in the Audi e-tron Challenge. The aim was to generate as much electric power as possible in three exercises. The Audi E-Bike with a futuristic touch challenged the players to pedal as forcefully as possible in order to charge the lithium-ion battery. The Audi Batak, an interactive light board, called for fast reactions and coordination. At the last station, the pros juggled as long as possible with a specially made football that generates energy every time it is touched. Following the completion of these activities, the players of the 22-time Spanish champion, instructed by Audi factory driver Marc Gené, piloted the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron across a handling course. The event culminated in the handover of the new ‘company cars’ to the soccer players who had free choice from the Audi model range. FC Barcelona has been on the road with Audi since 2006.
