The Audi DTM driver and reigning Rallycross world champion swapped his racing suit for an ERC Ingolstadt ice hockey club jersey. The Swede accepted the invitation to a training session from the ‘Panthers’ to join them at the ice rink. The number 5 on the back, which is the same as on his DTM racing car, seemed to suit the 38-year-old particularly well. The ice hockey stars were impressed by Ekström’s skills on skates. Like ERC coach Tommy Samuelsson, who welcomed his countryman Ekström in Swedish. “It was great to do something different. It was really fun. My only worry is that tomorrow I’m going to feel some muscles that I normally don’t use,” said Ekström.
